The Privy Purse - part III

I was finally going to withdraw the sloop from the shipyard, when I saw this dreadful scene.

Yesterday th' drinkin' puzzle be free, so I sailed' t' th' inn t' get some booze.... erm... I mean... t' imbibe me fine palate.
I dasn't reckon very well what happened afterwards... but I be afraid I`ve been robbed an' thrown into sea by some scallywags.
I be sorry Yer Majesty: they tookst th' sloop.

The sloop has been stolen. I'm going to offer 20 Doubloons and the title of Lord/Lady* of Ascalon to the brave knight who will bring it back to me!


* this mission will awards at least 100 sangreazuls: the equivalent of a title. If one of you will be so sharp and brave to solve all the riddles and beat the brigands, he/she will get all the points and be crown as Baron/Baroness. Otherwise the sangreazuls gained will be just added to his "blue-blood account".

Most of the game will be played on the forum, although some little exploration in-game is needed. At one point I am afraid our paladin would have to face the brigands and fight them. Who will bring back the deed of the sloop will win 20 dubs, but I'm sure that the robbers won't accept to fight with you if you haven't proven before that you are worthy to face them. So unless you haven't gained some sangreazul solving the riddles, you won't fight the thief.

No answers or hints will be provided in-game. Thanks for your understanding.

This is a sort of role-play game played on the forum. Post describing your actions. As soon as you will find out something relevant, the gamemaster will disclose part of the story and propose you riddles and quests.

Unfortunately we don't know the name of the thief, that's the biggest issue I'm afraid. But if we knew, you could search for him typing /who [piratename] in the chat.
I think some deeper investigation is needed here. :/

It appears thought Mmiimmi that Mortesecca is on the shores of Kasidim....me wonders who has been up to no good and how will i find a clue as to the whereabouts of our princely pride...Mmiimmii dons her Sherlock Holmes hat and pulls out her magnifing glass to search the sand fer clues........ :?:...coming across Bacardi the pooch...and asked him, "Woof.. Woof.. did you see who did it boy"...he hung his head and said nothing....hummmm...the game is afoot.

(if i knew how to post a screen shot there would be one with bacardi and I posted..lol)

I've already sifted out the beach looking for clues, but I haven't been able to find anything out of ordinary.

Mmiimmii ponders and is confused...if the sloop be at the shipwrights on Kasidim..and Mortesecca has stated that he sailed her to drink at the inn, which inn did he go and how did he end up back on Kasidim???? Mmiimmii searches the row boat to see if there is anything to give her a clue ...Mmiimmii thinks some more ...Mortesecca must of went to Caravanerai to the inn to drink and now he returns to ease his head...funny thing...met a pirate once named Godspeed on Bllackthorpe haven't seen him in a long while...wonder what happened to him...???

Mmm... well, I'm not sure but when he said "I sailed' t' th' inn" it was just his way of speaking. I've never heard him using the verb "to go": he rather uses "to sail".
Moreover, when Leoric and Piraatmaaike were working on the sloop I know he temporarily moved to Kasidim and often slept at the stall, working day and night to the sloop. This week has been very intense for him, no wonder he went to the inn for a drink.
I don't think he left the island that night, but I can't definitely speak on his behalf.

I would have to agree with pish many a time while working on the sloop late at night i saw mortesecca also in the stall. I was surprised to see him up that late he probably thought the same as me.

And I've seen him also a few times in the stall, so I agree with Leo.

Mmiimmii has considered greatly what has been said....so she goes to the inn on kasidim to speak with the patrons ,to see if anyone suspicious or odd goings on have occured. :pirat:

I too went to the inn at kasidim and decided to see what was there. I decided to show some of the bots pictures of Mortesecca to see if they could remember him that night. And decided to get a bit drink and ask the bartender with Mortesecca being completely incapacitated surely he had much too much to drink and the bartender would recognize him.

- Who? Mortesecca!? We have heard no tell of that pirate around these parts, says the bartender.
You try to describe his black beard and tarry pigtail, when he bursts into laughter.
- Ah ah ah ah! Do ye know how many pirates could match that description? Arrrrr. And beside that, doin' this job fer so many years, I've learned t' forget smartly our customers' poxy faces. Yo ho ho!

With the inn leading me to a dead end i decided to try and look around a little more. Pish had said that he combed the beaches so it would be pointless to look over them again. Instead i decided to look inside the stall itself. Since i was the one who completed the ship only Mortesecca and possibly the theif had entered the stall between its completion and its theft. Perhaps they messed up and left behind a clue.

Looking inside the stall, the only unusual thing you notice is a message left on the bulletin board.

Dear Maaike an Leo, I has be havin completed the sloop! I be goin t' take wif me the deed since the lock o' the shipyard be broken. If ye come aft in time, join me at the inn fer a toast! Yarrr!

I have a question to Mortesecca: Have you been to other places as the inn and the beach as far as you remember?
The other thing I wanna do is take a good look at the inn to see if I can find there any clues or things that lead to the thief.

Mmiimmii overhears the bar keep telling her mate Leoric of his lack of recognition...after Leoric leaves Mmiimmii approaches the bar keep sliding a dubloon across the bar asking...."ARE YE SURE MATE THAT U NOT BE SEEING ME MATE MORTESECCA HERE...THIS SHINEY DUBLOON BE YERS FER TELLING ME WHAT YE KNOW"??? "AND PERHAPS MANY MORE IF YER INFORMATION BE PARTICULARLY VALUABLE TO ME"...Mmiimmii waits paitently fer the barkeep's response.

Maaike steps inside the inn just in time to witness to a very hilarious scene: Mmiimmii first shouting at the bartender, then trying to bribe him and eventually being thrown outside with a big big kick in the booty. You realize that the innkeepers are quite annoyed by having people asking questions around. Billions of blue blistering barnacles! It's still a hang-out for scallawags and you are scaring away their customers. So you give up investigating more at the InnFamous and move to Caravanserai.

You knock at Mortesecca's door.

Mmm, maybe some aspirine works and sometimes works taking a new drink. Not always the best idea, but maybe it works.
May I ask you a questiuon about the sloop? I wanna if you have been to other places as the inn and the beach as far as you remember? And have you spoken to anyone about the sloop? Maybe that person was too much interested...

I wait a little bit after seeing maaike get yelled at in order to give Mortesecca a little time to cool off. Then i walk up to the window and wave at Mortesecca to let me in. After all i don't want to make any loud noises that might bother him. When he comes to the door i offer him a cool drink of water and a nice meal.

I we want to get the sloop back we need to work together.

Leo, Maaike, do you know if the ship was painted in any particular way ? we could try searching for it on the docks near Kasidim. If we work fast enough we can get them before the leave Ibis.
