The Privy Purse - feed-back
This thread is meant to provide feed-back about the first mission. I would like to know what people think about it. What did they like the most, what they didn't like, how could missions be improved in the future, on which aspect we should focus, etc.
Here is what I think.
Unfortunately only Maaike and Leo really entered the challenge of first part. I think it was also a matter of bad timing, cause when we have run it too many people weren't able to log and play. The Senior Officers / Titled Members were all away... if they had teamed with someone less experienced maybe more people would have been able to participate. For the future I think we should not underestimate this aspect. I'm actually thinking of setting this kind of tutor-pupil relationship within the framework of vassallage... :king: this would even improve the role-play.
Once a knight has become a Lord, he should team with another subject and help him in the pursuance of the mission. I think it would be nice to create such kind of relations within the flag. Not to mention that one of my main interest is now involving Glimmer of Light into the game... and I think assigning this duty to Titled Members would actually be the best way to do it.
As for the third part, I had a lot of fun. I was surprised to see how people got involved... its thread is the most read of the forum and the one that has the highest number of posts. It boosted the forum attendance. Still, we should try to involve more people.
Anyway I have a surprise for those who participated. Since it was the first time we have played such a game the scoring system was inaccurate and I'm now willing to adjust it.
I have analyzed the mission and I have noticed that there are 3 kinds of puzzles:
(P) plot puzzles (players perform a simple action that makes the story go further);
(T) trials (players are subject to a test)
(R) riddles (players have to solve a puzzle).
(P) is the most simple action to perform and it will still award 5 sangreazul, the same way it did before. (T) and (P) should go from 5 to 50, depending on their complexity.
Mortesecca's rumless ride is a (T) that will award only 5 points, cause it doesn't require any particular skill (navigate a ship without rum), while defeating Tilinka is certainly more difficult.
Here is how I intend to adjust the score of the first mission.
FIRST PART
(T) Winning the Bakeoff
20 to Moonknight [+10]
(T) Each route memmed
5*2 = 10 to Maaike [UNCHANGED]
(T)Winning the mission
25 to Maaike [+15]
25 to Leoric [+15]
------
THIRD PART
(P) Arrival on Kasidim
5 to Mmiimii [UNCHANGED]
(P) Talking to Mortesecca

(R) Suggesting the hair of the dog as a remedy
(T) Rumless ride
20 to Mmiimii [+15]
5 to Mmiimmii [UNCHANGED]
(R) Finding Riemann Slums
20 to Leoric [+10]
(R) Discovering the "Ahoy" key
10 to Leoric [UNCHANGED]
(R) Solving the keyboard puzzle
25 to Blackseagull [+15]
(T) Playing Mortesecca’s song
10 to Leoric [UNCHANGED]
(T) Playing Mortesecca’s son on the right keys
5 to Mmiimii [UNCHANGED]
(R) Discovering the name of the sloop
10 to Maaike [+5]
(R) Discovering the name of the robber

Re: The Privy Purse - feed-back
Can't we just add more so i can be titled just kidding. I think that we all should try and get the other members of our flag involved in the forum and not just the titled members. Other than that i enjoyed all aspects of the missions that have been experienced so far it was a great idea.

Re: The Privy Purse - feed-back
I think the private purse was fun, but for some people too diffucult. The first part was too difficult to do it alone for me. Teaming with someone who had less experience as me or leo wouldn't work. It were too much things we have to do, in some case it also costs a lot (buying a house for example). It has to be difficult and for me it was good to do, but I understand why there were that less participants. You may think about a way to make it easier for less experience and more difficult for others to make more participation possible.
Part 2 was easier, also for people with less experience in YPP. A nice thing between all the hard things.
Part 3 was for me the most fun, but it was a pity that later in that game I had too less time to look for the answers. There were not that much participants, but enough to make it fun. I think it also works for people with not that much experience in YPP. You don't need very much, it's more a puzzle game. I like this kind of puzzle very much and I wnat to do it more. ;-)
I think you did a great job by making this mission and it was fun to participate!

Re: The Privy Purse - feed-back
You should make more missions like that mate. I didn't start using the forums until the mission was already over.
