So how are teams being selected. Is it up to each person to pick their partner or are they going to be assigned randomly?

It's up to each entrant to find a partner. Obviously Acerin and I are not eligible.

If there are just 2 players in the team, does it mean that you can get help from just 2 bots or more players?

Not necessarily. You can ask for help to anyone inside and outside the crew... maybe it would be advisable not to ask your competitors.
Especially concerning charting, if one doesn't own any charts of that area and didn't mem it either, you could ask someone else to chart the course for you. Acerin and I would be glad to help.

Anyone wants help I will when on line.

Do not know enough about running the shops myself, and it is very far off from my home. So I will help others try for it if any want.

For the points for memming Kasidim to Cara does it have to be a direct link between the islands or can it be Cara to Aten to Kasidim?

There is no direct link between Caravanserai and Kasidim, so it MUST be Kasidim-Aten-Caravanserai (I can accept also Kasidim to Caravanserai via Arakoua).
Same for Barbary. The route passes through Terjit.

Another question: till when do we have time to mem the routes and become renowned+ in SW? Till the sloop is finished or earlier?

Actually it was due for the 1st of September, but I'll take into account the network outage and post pone the deadline of 1-2(?) days.

Since I can't complete my memming tonight (I'm almost done, only 3 leaguepoints to go) as I had planned I ask you to give me a little bit more time. Tomorrow and Tuesday I can't be on (however Tuesdaynight is not sure, but don't think I can make it), because my school starts tomorrow with a small trip of 2 days. I don't sleep at home tomorrow so I can't log on in 2 days.
I would ask you to give me a little more time so that I have a change to complete this part of the mission.

Is this mission intended to be done alone or are we allowed to team? Also any rules or restrictions in it that we should be concerned about?

About teaming. Big issue. As I stated, the quest will be mainly played on the forum so one is going to score points posting answers to riddles. BUT! One can choose EITHER to post slices of information and guesses that may help anyone to get to the final answer and getting a few points if his contributions are helpful, OR play the catch-all card and aim at the full score.

An example will maybe help us: let's assume the answer to a riddle is "A".

Scenario 1
A poster says: the answer could be a letter of the alphabet. Correct! 5 points.
A second poster say: it could be a vowel. Alright. 5 points.
Finally one says: it's "A". Right answer! 10 points.

Scenario 2
The first poster says: it's "A" and gets 20 points.

No teaming among players is allowed however. It's an individual game.

Rules. The only rule so far is that in order to fight the thief you must have scored some points on the forum before.
