The fallen knight

Mmiimmii locks herself away in her shack surrounded by piles of scrolls and parchments all telling some history of al-Khadir ,our Green Man.
I have read everything from Khadir ...Patron Saint of Cannabis (http://khidr.org/cannabis.htm) to Khadir being immortal from drinking the Waters of Life..who resides and rules Saints and Angels in the far north.
But the best by far is In the subcontinent folklore Khadir has appeared " as a substitute for the Hindu gods of water and in this particularly reversed by sailors and fishermen.
It is in connection with Khadir being the patron saint of sailors that his name is invoked
down to this day by the sailors everytime a boat is being launched in parts of the Middle East and Northern India.

Now has this helped me get any closer to finding our missing green man or defeating Azarbad and regaining the trinket????
I have been to alkhadir's shack no one was home.
I know that Mortesecca homes be vacant too..
I believe that Morteseccca is under the spell of divine guidance...perhaps the persona of al-Khadir himself...all that I can think to do is to travel north and search out the islands in hopes of
finding some news or clue...

It seems that Mortesecca showed up this morning, but then again disappeared.
I got an idea. Before his scent could vanish, I took to his shack the dog that was sniffing at his back at the beginning of the Privy Purse adventure.



Unfortunately the flea bag doesn't seem to be of much help... he's just sniffing and barking at one of the two bedrolls (has Mortesecca slept there recently?), while I was hoping he could lead me to a track left by Mortesecca.

Mmiimmii wakes after her nap and goes to Mortesecca's one last time before going north to search...finding Pishkirlin there with the puppy bacardi ...Hi Captain..I bend to examine the bedroll bacardi is barking at as well as taking a look around to see if anything else can be deduced or found.mmmm curious what have i found here on the floor at the door ??? :pirat:

Ahhh says Mmiimmii it appears to be a medal of some sort...

Hmm. If it would be a good idea to look in that barrel. I am sure the green man most have done something interesting with his plants.

The barrel contains some delicious Anchovies in parsley and olive oil, a speciality of the region where Pishkirlin and Mortesecca come from.

Sounds delicius. But how would that help us?

Mmiimmii takes a close look at the anchovies...I believe that be a Tuscan treat...Pish do you happen to see a baguette ??? (Mmiimmii's tummy grumbles)

Mmiimmii thinks that perhaps she should seek out the fisherman that provided the anchovies to that wonderfully delicious dish...(/me smacks me lips)

Well...someone must be coming back here within the month as these delicacies can only last a month cover in oil...according to the recipe..acciughe sotto pesto..

If the anchovies were brought in under salt then they can last as much as a year. ( which is usually done first, otherwise they won't last a month under oil) The anchovies are then taken out of the salt, rinsed, dried and put under the oil. And if you put that much parsley in with the oil then they won't last even a month as the parsley will ferment. Yuck!
I suggest you try eating them on a slice of unsalted Italian bread with butter.

Avast! We have focused too much on those bloody anchovies, methinks! But alas, they are very good indeed... and I love them both in parsley and oil, and marinated in vinegar (with oninons).

I suggest you try eating them on a slice of unsalted Italian bread

being them quite salty, they MUST be eaten with unsalted Tuscan bread. But no butter, blimey! They already have their oil sauce.

Fairy goes to Mortesecca's shack to check the barrel of anchovies and decides to try some. Maybe that will make me have a dream with clues.

Fairy takes some anchovies in her hand and eats them to see what happens.

Mmiimmii decides to do a really good search of Mortesecca'a shack in case she missed something while being distracted by the yummy anchovies..so Mmiimmii checks the bed rolls, crates, under the rug...everything gets the once over.... :star:

Mmiimmii does that search of Mortesecca's shack...checking for loose floor boards, under the table, the window coverings, even the fetish standing in the corner all green and inviting... all i have found thus far is tasty anchovies, a tuscan delight ..(but alas no bread)....and a medal lieing on the floor in front of the door...Mmiimmii finally checks the house news board......

The dog doesn't want to leave the shack... he keeps on barking at the bedroll.
As for the news, Mortesecca left them blank.

Mmiimmii is curious as to why Bacardi keeps barking at the bed roll so Mmiimmi takes a real close look at it pulling down the covers and peering underneath it...really examining it closely :scratch:

Hmm Maybe we should check inside the barrel of anchovies. After all what would deter people from searching better than a barrel of stinky fish. Its the perfect hiding place for secrets.
