Mmiimmii reaches Greenwich Island at dusk. While she's mooring her ship she sights an Arab vessel approaching. It's Azarbad himself! As soon as the Brigand King goes ashore she manages to shadow him from a distance. She sees him entering the Inn and she gets inside after him. Azarbad moves towards the stairs when a swabbie stops him, blabbing some Arabic words.



He shows him a card. The swabbie reads it, nods and let him go by. Then he tears up the card and throws the small pieces on the floor. When soon thereafter the swabbie goes get a drink at the bar, Mmiimii retrieves the pieces from the floor.

While on a side the card is decorated with an arabesque...



... flipping some of the pieces, you can see what it seems to be an Arabic word.

So you start trying piecing together the card*.

Piecing together the paper, you can read an Arabic word.

Mmiimmii searches her pack and finds a copy of AL-MAWRID ARABIC DICTIONARY and researches the writing on the card....it's very hard to read but something about bill of lading maybe or is that beggary...or perhaps it's mendicancy ..it's not very clear.... :scratch:

This word is HE in english maybe it represents Hardcore explorers. Maybe if i repeat the word to the swabbie it will get me somewhere.

Leoric approaches the swabbie, who as soon as the knight comes closer says:
"Password"
"He" answers Leoric.
"Nice try, bucko. Now do me a favour: either you come back with the right password or get out of my sight"

The swabbie answers irritated:

I walk to the swabbie and say to him: "Hope I got the right password, I think it is smart. Is that the right word?

"You do not *hope* you have the right password, you simply have it because you belong to our brotherhood, miss. Which is clearly not your case. Shoo!" says the guardian of the stairway.

Mmiimmii walks up to the swabbie and when asked for the password answers ...carpet (sajjadah)...Mmiimmii crosses her fingers hoping its not rug instead lol :?:

"No, ma'am. No carpet for sale here. Try at the furnisher round the corner."

I take an alt and go to the swabbie and say: "the password is smart."

(not sure if I am wrong or it isn't controlled because of my hoping to come in)

Gee thinks Miimmii this has to be easier then I think...wait there is Abdul,,,hey buddy...can u help me..what does this say...showing Abdul the card he says... easy...DOH... Mmiimmii smacks herself in the forehead ...goes back to the swabbie and says... easy..

The swabbie nods and let Rubydeath go by. Once upstairs she can hear a man and a woman talking beyond a door.
"Have you found her?" asks the woman.
"No, Mistress. Neither her nor the green man. I'm sorry."
"Dammit!"
"I think she is hiding herself among them under a false identity, like the green man has been doing for all this time. Bursting into his shack we have found evidences that support our guess, but he must have foreseen our move and now he's missing since a few days."
"We can't miss the chance of catching him under his mortal guise!"
"Don't worry, Mistress. He can't regain his power as long as I am in possession of this green trinket."
"Try not to loose it, then. Now go!"
"Your wish is my command, Mistress."

So Azarbad is after us, uh?
Very well, I'm going to put a bounty on his head, my fellow knights! Attack is the best defence. Yarrr! Maybe we can also come in possession of the green trinket he mentioned.

Do not stop investigating in the meantime, you have done a great job so far. I really hope we can ruin Kakia's plans, whichever they are.

Oh so this is why Mortesecca looked green? A reference to "the green man"? As in the symbol of nature? The face surrounded by leaves and all that?

Oh... that might explain his drive for natural sciences! I still don't understand why Azarbad and Kakia want to catch him, though.

I looked at the royal archives (the forum), hopeing tha Mortesecca would be involved in Brigand king hunting. That would be a simple explainatinon why he is the target of the brigand king.

The only thing that makes sense is to stalk the man as he leaves the room. Perhaps he will lead me to other characters that is part of the plot.

The other man was Azarbad the Great himself and I've already put a bounty on his head. So feel free not only to stalk him but also to defeat him and bring me the trinket they were talking about!

Ten days has passed since Mortesecca is missing. He went dormant. Will we ever see him again?

When Kakia and Azarbad were talking, he said they found evidence (that supported their guess) in Mortesecca's shack.

Fairy wants to check his shack too just in case, so she goes to Caravanserai - Love Shack, looking for clues.
