Aze meets Pish
It is now official. On the 1st of July, the Most Honorable the Marquis Azeitona is going to visit His Majesty the King of Ascalon! Woooooooot!
The meeting of two members of Ascalon is an unprecedented event I hope will occur again in the future, involving the more and more knights... heck, I think we should organize a bloody grand meeting in Jerusalem* in 2012**.
Wherever we'll go, we'll take a laptop with us and a mobile internet device, so we will be able to blog here. I believe we'll run also a live pillage. xD
Stay tuned!
* Jerusalem because it's a must-see place in one man's life and because our flag theme is inspired from the legends of that land
** We could schedule for 2011, if I wasn't a bit superstition about being in Jerusalem when I'll be 33 xD

If driving him crazy is his goal, he won't have to be there for very long.Sparkywolf wrote:How long will you be driving Pish crazy?

Chronicle of Day 1
When I went to pick Aze from the airport I started to worry that I wouldn't have recognized him, since he got out of the gates as one of the very last passengers of the flight. Every time someone who was looking like an ape (and there were several) was passing by I was wondering if it was him. But he has been smarter than I thought, because he was wearing the T-shirt of Brasil, so it was easy to recognize him eventually. We should definitely create some Ascalon T-shirts one of these days!
I must witness that in live pixels he looks better than in the pictures he posted here... well, at least he doesn't look like a convict.
We spent two hours from the airport to my place talking about his last stay in Italy listening to Brasilian music (which was provided by me, since I'm big fan of their music) and I learned that in Portuguese -rr- or r- at the beginning of the word is spelled more or less like -h- so Ronaldo should be pronounced almost like Honaldo and terra is teha.
Once at my place, he met Pirilina as well as the other two guests: Mr. Shiraz and Mr. Pinot Noir. We went to bed at 1am well-imbibed of wine.
Now it's 8am and he's not awaken yet. I think I'll let him rest another half an hour before blowing thevuvuzela olifant. Today we should visit the city, watch the game (he'll be allowed to drink beer) and possibly the Palio di Siena.

Chronicle of Day 2
As anticipated, Lord Azeitona has been awakened by the sound of the reveille soon after I posted yesterday's entry.
We logged onto the game where he showed me how he guns. His gunning method is so weird and unnecessarily twisted that only his mind could have conceived, but I must admit it is quite effective.
We then visited the city and its few places of interest: the Cetatuia Monastery, the Trei Hierarhi Church, the Orthodox Cathedral and the Palace of Culture, where we came to know with deep and sincere disappointment that all the museums hosted in the palace were closed.
Alas, in order to fill the void that missing a such cultural opportunity left in our souls, as well as the one caused by the departure of Mr. Pinot Noir and Mr. Shiraz, we headed to the wine store. Here Azeitona had part of a wine tasting featuring a Sarba, a Feteasca Regala (both are local grapes), a cuvée of white grapes, a rosé made from Merlot, a Feteasca Neagra and a Burgund. We ended up buying 6barrells gallons liters of our favourite ones, that soon thereafter accompanied some tasty tagliolini burro e salvia (butter and sage).
After lunch we had a karaoke session singing Italian songs, but since Brasil - Netherlands was approaching, we recorded an euphonic version of Waka Waka, that can be downloaded here (the baritonal voice is Aze, the mezzo-soprano is me), in order ward off ill-luck. Unfortunately the effect of the waka waka lasted less than the tortillas we were crunching and Brasil lost 1-2.
Aze then ran a pillage to take his revenge but our path was crossed by Vargas of Rotterdam, whose steel-coated Skittles made more damage to our sloop than the hill-fated head of Melo to the whole Brasil.
We realized that the only treatment to the incurable wounds of the heart would have been a copious meal, because according to Mortesecca's manual of medicine and anatomy, the heart is just a protuberance of bowels. So we stopped at the Libanese restaurant where we had
hummus, kebab and mansaf... and I think we can definitely witness that the empirical experiment comes in support of Mortesecca's theory.
