Glimmer of Light crew portrait.

I will quote(not directley, I noticed some grammatic errors, heh) my newly posted crew news.

"Avast! It be time we a portrait to show on our info page.

Unless we can get a lot of financial support I don't think we can make a very large portrait. So here is my suggestions:
Either we make a crewportrait for four, we will add the Captain and the active SO's in the portrait. Or we make a portrait for two with me and Frame, since we are those who have been with the crew the longest.

If you are a high ranked (officer and up) member of the crew and want to be on the portrait you are always free to ask. A portrait, no matter wich size, will cost 15K and 20 dubs per person. We will have to save up a lot of money for this."

I thought the rest of the flag would like to know. Share your opinions on this!

Glad to see you are thinking of getting a crew portrait and since you asked for some feed-back, I can give you mine as a manager of both crew and flag info page, as I have dealt with such an issue several times.
We got our crew portrait exactly one month after the birth of the crew and it was a very good choice: at that time Safebet was my only Senior Officer, so we agreed easily on how to dress, what to hold and which expression to show. Now that the SO family has grown, I would really like to get a portrait with all of them, but apparently it is very hard. They aren't often online neither at the same time, and not even in the same periods, so when some of them are active, there is someone who is not. How can I exclude Aldeberan or Enblith from the portrait, if I had to get one with the SOs right now? That's why after all I don't mind keeping the old one: at least it's the the historical portrait.
Beside that, there are some technical issues. Portraits depicts a certain numbers of pirates... if you want a portrait for three, the only solution is commissioning one for four and pay anyway the fee, even if there are only 3.

Anyway, since you are going to toss quite a lot of money for the portrait (more or less 60k per pirate), I really suggest you to plan it carefully and get a cool one, with people wearing similar clothes or colors or at least holding similar things. Nothing worst than wasting 60k for an ugly amass of pirates.

I am beginning to belive that a 2 man portrait with me and Frame would be the better. Frame is the one I belive will be among the crew for the longest.

The only person who have done as much for the crew as her is Benke, but he is not online anymore.
According to Jhonyboy he will start playing again, so the best idea perhaps is to wait.

Ok, I am officially putting this on hold.

Frame has not been online in over 2 weeks and Benke is not playing activley anymore.

I have sold 18 of the crews 22 shanghais for 12K each and this money is almost enough to make a crew portrait for four.

Excpect to see a portrait on our infopage in less than 10 days.

Update.
We are 33K short of a 4 man portrait. But as soon as we are all online simultaniously we can probably finally make the portrait.

The only problem I see is that all o us may not be wearing Blue-Yellow clothes. But we can probably pitch in and help each other with that.

I was wondering... why do you have to get a 4 pirates portrait? 5 pirates can be on a portrait as well.

Is it because it's more expensive? I can't believe you guys can't add 8.000 PoE each and get the one for 5 pirates. Maybe withdrawing the money you donated to the flag fund could help you? Since they haven't been used yet, I wouldn't have any problem in returning them to you.

Unless I miscalculated we will need about 67K more to make a 5 man portrait.
I have 20K to spare and the donation for the flag was another 20K if I am not mistaken.
That leaves 27K, I am sure we can scrape that together. Let me think.

"Portrait - Round 2.
Ahoy! Time to get together and finally make the portrait. I want everyone who is supposed to be on the picture online at 12 AM game time this friday. That is: Piratus, Benke, Frame, Grodanknorr and Captinthe. If you can't come, we can always change the time."

12 AM game time. This should be evening time in europe.

Grodanknorr has annouced that he can't be there on Friday, or any day of the weekend, so I am making another try on Monday, same time.
