I had been saving a note of the better THs to see how much can be got.

Thought the above were good, until tonight.

this one u are counting only the TH in the pillage expedition? or atlantis and flotilas too?

I only do pillage ones.

usually the ones i do stay around 2k too, but dont remenber to ever reach 3k...

No I feel it is directly related to the same things as gets a good normal booty pay out, getting it on a hard route, booty ramp up, elite stats pirates etc. I suspect the total to be hauled will come up just the same however anyone performs on the TH puzzle.

If you are pillaging and you win an expedition from brigands or barbarians then the amount you will get from the expedition is determined by the same things that would determine the booty amount when you win. So who is onboard, the stats, the route, the strength of the ship etc etc. (I often see so many crews call other people on the ship to do the expeditions in the hope it will cause more poe to spawn.. that really isn't the case.)

The expeditions won from a black box appear (so far) to be random. I've seen some small cutters to haul and some larger MGs to haul.

(Just a note for anyone who might not know.) The size of the ship that it shows in your booty panel helps you to see if you will have a large haul or not. Tends to be a cutter or a MG that you can see sunken in the water. The larger ships means you'll get a larger haul.

I suspect with that 2 person huge haul, that the less on board to haul the better the individuals return. The amount available being set on winning the expo. Aze when you won the expo was it with more on board?

It suggests soloing to black box TH is the best plan.
