Do you use any "tricks" to save money on stock?

Excuse the typo on the poll. Smile

How many of you saves money on restock by using the rum calculator (http://ouroborus.org/Y!PP/calc/) or by preordering your stock?

Pre-order is ofcourse not easy when you are restocking, your ship is unlikley to end up on that particular island and you can't deliver more or less than what you ordered. But I think there is no excuse to not using the rum calculator to save yourself some money.

Opening up that webpage and typing in the prices can save you more poe per minute than any other PP activity!

Here is a live example, taken from the Wenslydale market.
Buying 15 units of rum will cost you 1320 poe!
Buying 25 grog, 850.
And 38 units of swill cost 836.

If you choose to buy swill instead of rum you will save 470 poe! Not a very big number, but compare that to how much you make on a sea battle. Probably much more and in less time and with no risk at all!

Just my opinion. I don't think you want to give away your hard earned poe to a distiller who might not even be online!

swill is usually 10% cheaper than grog. Grog is 30% cheaper than rum, I think.

Some people don't realize that poe = time (time is money). Not taking the time to choose the cheapest option will force you to spend more time to get the same amount of poe later.
How long did it take for you to use the calculator? One minute as most.

How long would take for you to make 10K? welll... a lot more. Smile
