Christmas party

Ahoy flaggies!
The Glimmer of Light is planning a flag Christmas party. :santa:

When?
We still havn't decided the excat date for the party. But we will not have it on the 24th or 25th of december, since the first date is when I and the rest of the swedish crew(flag?) members celebrate christmas, and the latter is when the rest of the world celebrate it. And I think most of would rather be with our families on that date.

Please come up with suggestions, tell us when you can be there.

Where?
We are planning to use Swesvempa's cottage on Wenslydale, although Swesvempa can't be there I am fortunate enough to be his roomate, and will organise everything.

What will we be doing?
We are going to organise tournaments in various puzzle games, we will also have a poker table, and you can of course challenge each other to puzzles if you like to.
There will ofcourse be a lot of general talking as well.

What about presents?
Before the actual party everyone should bring at least one present(wrapped) to me, and tell me what it contains.
I will later organise so that the presents will be the prices in the tournaments. Therefore it will be important for me to know wich present is the most valuable, so that the winner doesn't get a few cheap bludgeons, and the guy on third place gets a deed to a ship, for instance.

This party will cost a lot fo poe to arrange, concidering the cost of all the furniture, so feel free to make a donation.
By the way, do anyone here own a furnishing stall/shoppe? That would probably help us a lot.

Nice idea. The flag coffer can be used to buy a Christmas tree.
Beside the presents for the tournament it would be nice to organize a sort of auction for a few mysterious wrapped presents.

As for the date... I don't think 24 and 25 are good days. As you said, people will probably be with their families during those days. I think 21-23 would be much better.

Or as another idea we can have a Secret Santa where each person would be randomly assigned another person in the crew or flag. And you would go out and get a gift for your designated person. I think that would be a fun little thing to do.
