Friday Fundays!

To strengthen the bond between us and to regulary give us something to other than pillages I am proposing a new national holiday: The Friday Funday!

Every Friday, every day of the week, we will take turns on organizing voyages like attacks on a flotilla, Cursed island, Imperial Outpost, Sea monsters or just any voyage that is special and fun!

The first Friday Funday will be this friday (26th of februiary) 19:00 Ascalon time. We will run a flotilla attack.

I agree and 19:00 Ascalon could be the right time for starting jobbing. Sometimes I might log a bit later, though. If there will be an officer starting the voyage, that would be perfect because the later the voyage starts, the shortest the time I will be able to attend it. Friday I'm always usually a bit tired from work.

but have to remenber that fridays and saturdays are the best days to go out at night and get drunk in women arms... so i cant be sure that i will be at home... lol

Hey! Bros before hoes!

The first funday will be an attack on Admiral Finius' flotilla between the Auk and Hoarfrost Islands. It will be organized by the Glimmer of Light and run by me. We will have a Baghlah(Swesvempas old one, to be precise ) ready at the time.

Actually, now I remeber where I got the name of this thing from. Good Grief has something similar on their forums Friday Flaggie Fundays. Anyhow, unless they have it trademarked, we will still use this name

since no one has any other suggestions and no one except one has complained about the time, it's now settled. The first Friday Funday will be this Friday (feb. 26) at 19:00 Ascalon time.

This friday is Febr. 26 lol

Sounds like fun.. However I'm now going to always be out on fridays, so i shall not be able to go
Will hopefully be there for the usual Saturday pillage though.

I told Ljl, captain of the rebels, about my plans for Friday and he is going to join us with a Longship. It would be awesome if the Knights could join with a ship aswell

As some of you know, my parents are separated (don't be sorry, I am used to it and I have no problems living like that).
I usually switch parents on Friday about 17:00 Ascalon time, then we have to shop groceries, have dinner pack up the stuff I brought from my other parents house, etc. There is a chance that I will be a little late.

The flottila we planned on attacking does no longer exsist. Instead we will do Fori's IO this friday.

After yesterday's pillage I have several concerns about this event, at least regarding my participation.
First of all, being a weekday I can't guarantee to be there. It depends on how late I leave work and have dinner. Besides, after a week of work, I'm usually very tired and the activities proposed here are not the most fun for me, resulting in being asleep after 5 minutes of endless puzzling.
Last but not least, I'm really really forcing myself to do this. I don't like flotilla, SMHs, blockade and any other game where the jobber must puzzle as a slave for the bnaver's fun. I'm a bnaver myself, nonetheless I think it's not fair involving my friends in a grindy game just because I might enjoy it. I have no reason for playing a game that I don't like, as I could do a lot of things that I enjoy more.

If we want to do something together, I'm afraid we'll have to erase from the list flotillas and SMHs. The Brigand King hunt was a good idea, but it requires more organization for tuning of the might of the ship, otherwise it will be just a pointless puzzling doomed to turn into a defeat.
IOs can be done, but again I'd suggest choosing carefully the ship. The last one I entered was long and frustrating. I would like to experiment entering them on a big and undermanned ship. A longship for a small outpost should be perfect. At the beginning I thought it was a lame exploit, now I'm realizing that the game it's poorly designed and to make it enjoyable you should use a trick. Seven people on a longship would work smoothly and won't be such an exploit.

Another fun activity we can do together is the monkey ship hunt. Last time we did it, it was so much fun!

Summarizing: let's choose another day (Sunday) and do the monkey ship!

You are right, Sunday will be a much better day. It's the Knight's turn to organise funday next, will you do it tomorrow or next sunday?

Yes, I admit this wasn't a succseful trip because I had little time to plan it out and little experience of BK hunts, I hope everyone enjoyed it anyway

You have make a very good point, but unlike slaves, jobbers can leave whenever they want and I will gladly let them switch stations and take brakes if they are bored (as long as they don't all take brakes at the same time).
If I get a lot of complaints from flagmates, or a low number of jobbers I will obviously reconsider.

Guys, guys! Please respond.
Due to complaints I am seriously thinking about moving this event to Sundays because a lot of people simply don't feel like playing much on a workday. (and because Sunday Funday actually rhimes very good, too)

But I have also heard some complaints from others that Sunday is a bad day, it's very close to Monday after all. That could lead to problems as well, since some people can't be online if it's late where they live.
