I decided to stop spamming the hoist the Hoist the colors! - Q&A thread with this and make it a new topic.

This topic is for the discussion of the Glimmer fo Light history and it's yppedia page. Allthough I have been a member since almost day one of the crew (I think I joined a few weeks after the crew was created) I can't make an etire page based on my own memories.

Besides, I don't like what you wrote about Thewandererr, maybe you didn't realize that your words cast a bad light on him and I feel that it's a bit unfair since he was a gentleman after all. If you want I would be glad to help you writing the article: I know a lot about your history.

I don't remember much about Thewandererr to be honest, maybe because of different online times. That where the only things I could think of writing about him, please help me out.

Here you can talk a bit about the Swes' past, adding fancy details. Like I told you before, they used to belong to Fratelli della Costa, of which the founders of the Knights of Saint George were also members. That's why when Swes came back to the game decided to join Ascalon straightaway... it happened in the very same day, since they were able to achieve the required fame within only one day.

Another interesting thing you might want to learn about Swes is that he applied twice for a Royal position. At that time in fact these spots were given away upon an application that was screened by the Royals. He applied first on May 26, but it was rejected, then once again on June 2 and on June 10, its second application was approved.
In its application he mentioned also the highest number of member the crew had until that time: 37. Their fame was Eminent and I remember in May-June they were very active. Then they became less and less active, till they went dormant. The crew was for long time without a captain, till Thewandererr upon Frame's suggestion and my seal of approval took the helm. I'll continue the story later, when I'll be back home and able to check my logs I might come up with more datas and dates.

Swesvempa last logged on July 18 , 2008. That means he went dormant 10 days later, on July 28.
Thewandererr became captain on September 2, 2008. So the crew was captainless for over one month.
Swedempa officially announced his retirement on September 6, 2008.

As for how Thewandererr became captain, I remember Frame and him came to my home asking me, "as the head of the flag" (so he addressed himself to me), if I agreed on making him captain... since it was Swesvempa's crew he didn't want to jump over him. I gave him my blessing, as Swes wasn't actually playing in the last 2 month.
As for the circumstances leading him to leave the crew, I guess you are aware of them.

More or less. He left the crew with Yersunshine after an argument about the hoist the colors mission. I really don't remember much in detail.

And that is very good info on the captains, I think the date when I became captain is correct.

I wish to learn more about the crews coat of arms.
Was it Swesvempa who created it? I didn't have a chance to see it until Pishk made "The Royal Court" link.

Nope, it's made by me. I chose Sweden's colours as a homage to the founders and the sun as a reference to the light. If you have a better idea, we can change it.

Is there any larger image of the coat of arms avalibale? So I could show the large one on the yppedia page.

i read the yppedia page of glimmer of light there is a little mistake u said that thewandererr made a crew called dont plank with me its dont plank with us
