You put your hand in there Leo. I'm not getting anywhere near those stinky anchovies again Razz

Or maybe Mortesecca actually is on the bedroll, but invisible lol, throw the contents of the barrel over him to see if he turns visible again Razz

On the table Mmiimmii finds the following books:
  1. Memorabilia by Xenophon.
  2. Tourist attractions in Lod.
  3. The War of Succession in the Kingdom of Cold Steel.
  4. The fallen knight.
  5. Sufism and Futuwa.

Mmiimmii tries to reach the wall beyond the foliage but the plants block the way, so she draws her sword and cuts the shrubs...
...but they re-grow outright as if by magic.

Before Mmiimmii settles down fer a night of reading she takes a look around checking out the sword rack, and then over to the wood piles on the fire place...She looks to see what's in the pot on the hearth...turning around she notices the anvil and gently caresses it (Mmiimmii has a skill at Iron Mongering),,going over the the sink she washes her face and picks up the book the fallen knight...as good as place any to start... :study: :study: :study: :study: :study: ...

The sword rack contains just a couple of uncompleted blades, so Mmiimmii moves to the books.
She opens "The fallen knight" and reads the last sentence.
She opens "The fallen knight" and reads the last sentence.
She can't believe her eyes! The books tells exactly what happened so far. Too bad the last pages of the books have been pulled off and that is the very last sentence Mmiimmii can read.

It seems that ain't anything out of ordinary in "Memorabilia" by Xenophon. You can easily find the passage about Herakles, Arete and Kakia you already know.

/e looks up Lod.

Lod (Hebrew: לוֹד‎; Arabic: اَلْلُدّْ‎, al-Ludd; Greco-Latin Lydda) is a mixed Arab-Jewish city about 15 km southeast of Tel Aviv in the Center District of Israel. At the end of 2007, its population was 67,000.

A historic city dating from the Greek and Roman eras, Lod is the home of Israel's main international airport, Ben Gurion International Airport, previously known as Lod Airport. The airport and related industries are a major source of employment for the residents of Lod. The Jewish Agency Absorption Centre, the main facility for handling olim arriving in Israel, is also located in Lod.

...................................etc., etc., etc.

/e thinks she'll let everyone else read about Lod for themselves. Razz but would like to point out the place has a certain importance for those following St. George.

One can only suppose that either Mortesecca has already been there, or is going there.

This book tells the past, what if it can change the future?
Piratus picks up the book and tries to writes
The book now says:

Post  mmiimmii on Tue Dec 02, 2008 1:23 pm

Mmiimmii is convinced that if she can find a way to the wall to examine what she thinks is a door it might reveal some clue....she'll have to think on that as she considers the cutting implements sitting on the table...Mmiimmii checks the fire place to see if any remnants remain to what might have burned there last....
Mmiimmii also thinks that there must be some clue to proceed in the connection of the books ...

The Green Man totem that is upstairs must be whats causing the plants to regrow. Since some beliefs it represents evil perhaps the cross will stop its magic long enough for us to get a look at whatever is behind the plants. If not maybe mortesecca's razor is here that we can use to cut down the plants.

Interesting idea Leo. Maybe the magic of the totem, with its "rebirth" properties is causing the plants to re-grow.

Fairy wants to try and remove the totem from its place and leave it outside the shack. Then try cutting the plants again.
